Layout:

The Pseudo-Soo Line (PSL) is set in north central Wisconsin in the late spring of 1953. It represents the Third Subdivision of the Gladstone Division of the "Old Soo". Emphasis is on forest and agricultural products as the line traverses the swamps and bogs of the area.

The main line is a closed loop with two single ended, "nose-to-nose" staging yards representing Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. and Minneapolis, Minn. There are three yards: Rhinelander, Ladysmith, and Weyerhauser. A branch line represents the Wisconsin Central routes to Superior, Wisc. and the Bessemer, Mich. iron mining complex. Interchanges are with the C&NW at Rhinelander and Rice Lake, the Milwaukee Road at Heafford Junction, and the Wisconsin Central at Ladysmith.

Operations include both passenger and freight movements, Milk Runs, manifests, peddlers, ore trains, turns, and dedicated industry and interchange moves. A 6:1 fast clock is used.
